About

Accountability

How we operate, and how you can check.

Legal status

TalentMakers Foundation is a Nigerian nonprofit registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under registration number 8113188, incorporated in December 2024.

Financial integrity

TMF maintains a dedicated organisational bank account. Financial record-keeping and disbursement authority are held by different individuals, so no single person can both record and authorise a payment. An external audit has been completed and the report is available to funders and partners on request.

Safeguarding

TMF delivers programmes inside public secondary schools and works directly with children and young people. A Safeguarding and PSEA Policy has been in effect since March 2025, covering both child safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse of adults, on a biennial review cycle.

Every member of staff and every volunteer engaged in school-based delivery receives the policy at orientation and provides written acknowledgement of its terms before deployment.

Data protection and privacy

TMF collects assessment and survey data from young people, including minors. Data is processed in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Responses are anonymised, no personally identifiable information appears in published outputs, and informed consent protocols apply to all research activity, with parental or guardian consent obtained where a participant is under 18.

Complaints

Raising a concern

Anyone affected by TMF's work, including students, parents, teachers, community members, volunteers, partners and suppliers, can raise a concern or make a complaint by email, by telephone, in person, in writing, or anonymously. No fee is charged and no complaint needs to be made in writing.

Concerns are logged, investigated and reported to the Board of Trustees quarterly. No one is disadvantaged for raising a concern in good faith.

Open by default

TMF publishes its assessment frameworks, facilitation guides and research instruments under CC-BY (data) and MIT (code) licences, so any organisation can adapt our models without licensing fees.
