Teachers in a workshop session with a facilitator during TechSpark for Teachers

Our Work

TechSpark for Teachers

When a teacher gains a digital skill, every student they teach gains it too.

TechSpark has three strands

TechSpark Conference

The annual one-day exposure conference.

TechSpark School Visits

Sessions delivered inside schools, built around the gap each school names.

TechSpark for Teachers

You are here. Capacity building for teachers, so digital skills reach every student they teach.

What it is

The multiplier programme

TechSpark for Teachers engages educators alongside students, because the most sustainable way to expand digital access in Nigeria is to build it into the people who show up in classrooms every day.

The programme runs alongside TechSpark school visits and the annual conference. Teachers participate in a dedicated breakout track covering digital-age pedagogy, the use of AI tools in education, and practical classroom applications of the skills students are learning.

TMF has engaged 50+ teachers through capacity-building initiatives across partner schools in Nigeria.

Curriculum

What the programme covers

Digital literacy for classroom delivery

Confidence with the tools before teaching them: accounts, files, browsers and online safety.

AI tools in education

Practical applications of AI for lesson preparation, differentiation and classroom delivery.

Connecting students to careers

What technology careers actually look like in Nigeria today, and how to advise a student honestly.

Embedding digital skills

How to build digital skills into the curriculum teachers are already delivering.

School partnership

Bring TechSpark to your school

TMF works with school leadership before any programme delivery to understand what specific gaps exist for their students and staff. No two school visits follow exactly the same format.
